{week 24}

Seattle Take 2

I went back to Seattle on Wednesday with Leslie, Emily and Grace to pick up Breanna from Seatac.

 We went through the library before picking up Bre.  The picture above is of the fourth floor (there are eleven floors).  It is painted bright red and the walls are all rounded. It feels like you're inside a human heart.

We bought Yeeros again from Pikes market.

And here's Lester looking stunning--as usual.

So Seattle twice in one month.  That must be a record for me!

But I still love waking up to this as opposed to sky scrapers and car horns ;)

{week 23}

Okay, so really gross picture.  One of the baby goats cut themselves while jumping out of its pen (or at least thats what we figured).  I was home alone when I found her outside her pen with this three inch cut.  But Leslie was house-sitting a few minutes away and she came to my rescue.  Actually the goat's rescue.

And she stitched this baby up.  Didn't she do a good job?

And the goatie was no worse for the wear.  So this week I am thankful for healthy goats and multipurpose sewing needles!

Ski to Sea 2012!!!

The river was a bit higher then other years and it was windy but everything went pretty well.

Their time wasn't as good as last year's which Dad was disappointed about. But, hey, there's always next year right?

Flowers at Pike Street Market
A day in Seattle with Mom and Dad

Planting the Garden

A successful day of shopping at the mall!!!

A day in Seattle {05.22.12}

Dad, Mom and I took the Amtrak to Seattle on Tuesday.  I was such a beautiful ride; mainly along the ocean.

We finally found a restaurant that didn't look sketchy to have lunch in. It was a Greek deli, close to Pike street market, with delicious food.

 Everything looked so delicious and fresh at Pike Street market.

Except the fish-they looked too fresh.

There were so many florists with the most beautiful bouquets!

We also went to the Seattle library, which was the most impressive library I have ever seen!  We saw some posters for the King Tut exhibit that is coming to Seattle museum May 24-January 4 so maybe we be headed back the big city to see that :)

 "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.  For we know in part and we prophesy in part,  but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.  Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror;then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.  And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

1 Corinthians 13:1-13
